Ten biggest shopping centres in the world

The original idea of the shopping mall was developed in the USA – the first one was built in Minneapolis in 1956. The economic boom in Asia resulted in increasing consumption the construction of mega mall.s. Nowadays, Asia has more shopping malls than the US; the two largest can be found in China

The following comparison might help to illustrate the astounding dimension of these shopping centres: the second in the Top 10 list, the Golden Resources Mall, offers 557,419 m², which is about the size of 75 football pitches. But it's not all rosy for all mega malls in Asia: the South China Mall, the world's largest mall with a commercial area of 600,153 m², reports a high vacancy rate due to decreased customer frequency. It is known as a dead mall.

Successful mega malls are increasingly turning into lifestyle centres, serving as commercial space for a variety of businesses and but also as tourist attractions. Dubai Mall for example offers an ice rink and an aquarium on its area of 350,244 m². The Persian Gulf Complex will have an indoor amusement park, a prayer room and a helicopter landing pad.

Another strategy strives to unite architecture and environment. The 1 Utama Mall in Malaysia offers an indoor rainforest with koi basins for example and Southeast Asia's largest roof garden can be found here. At CentralWorld in Thailand, you can watch sea lions swimming in the indoor salt water lake. In order to survive as a mega mall it has become popular to integrate offices and residential space in the centres, as can be seen in Cehavir Mall in Turkey.

The discovery that consumer behaviour can be animated by social measures has changed the architecture of shopping malls. Especially the new lifestyle centres represent an effective way to motivate customers to buy and guarantee profits.

Most Expensive Bus

The most expensive bus in the world is a single deck bus allegedly designed for Prince Sultan Bin Fahd, President of the Saudi Arabia.
This expensive bus in its entirety represents a lavish and luxurious lifestyle that can only be enjoyed by the world wealthiest or richest individual.
Maintaining such a vehicle will require staggering amount of money as the inside depicts a five-star luxury hotel.
Not many people (including myself) would ever believe all the furnitures in the pictures are actually in this bus…It’s simply unbelievable!  Enjoy!

$10 Million for World’s First Superbus

The Superbus looks more like a very long Lamborghini than a regular bus, but it’s able to transport 23 people over long distances at speeds of up to 250 km/h.
The world’s first superbus was developed at the Delft University of Technology, in Holland, under the supervision of professor Wobbo Ockels, who in 1985 became the first Dutch astronaut to travel in outer space. He thought trains were too slow for present day needs and also have the disadvantage of traveling only between stations, so he set out to build a super vehicle that could travel at lightning speeds and be eco-friendly at the same time. He and his team spent three years working on the Superbus, and the result is nothing short of impressive.

Most Expensive Private Helicopters

1. AugustaWestland AW101 VVIP

AgustaWestland AW101 VVIP helicopter exterior

The United States Marine Corps was planning to order three of these choppers to replace the two that currently serve as Marine One (i.e., the Presidential helicopter). However, with a price tag of $21 million each, and with the economy the way it is, President Obama pulled the plug on the order. In any case, if you didn’t know any better, you’d probably assume this photo of the AW101′s cabin was actually a photo of a private jet cabin, because that’s how big and luxurious it is. But the size of this chopper doesn’t slow it down. The top speed is 192 mph, and the range is an impressive 863 miles. So this really is the only helicopter I would purchase.

2.Sikorsky S-92

Sikorsky S-92 VVIP Configuration helicopter exterior

Most Expensive Helicopter In The WorldMost Expensive Helicopter In The World 3

The most expensive helicopter is the Sikorsky S-92, designed for heads of corporations and heads of state that require an aircraft that is comfortable, safe and productive. Active vibration suppressors and advanced acoustic technologies make for an incredibly smooth flight within a whisper-quiet cabin.
The S-92 helicopter has a 6 foot high ceiling, and offers true stand up head room enabling you to walk freely throughout the cabin. Also to help provide the perfect flight environment, the S-92 offers warm air at your feet and fresh, controlled air overhead.
The Sikorsky S-92 offers a standard 9-passenger interior within its spacious cabin, and can incorporate custom features including an elegant lavatory facilities and walk-in closets to a lavishly appointed wet bar or galley. All the comfort of a fixed-wing business aircraft with the freedom of a medium sized helicopter.

3. Bell 525 Relentless

Bell 525 Relentless helicopter exterior

Like the Gulfstream 650 jet, the Bell 525 Relentless helicopter isn’t on the market just yet. It was announced in February 2012 at the Heli Expo in Dallas, is expected to make it’s first flight sometime in 2013, then get certified in 2015. So you’ll have to wait a while to pick one of these up…and that’s good, because your going to need time to save your pennies. This chopper is going to cost north of $15 million. At this point, pretty much all the specs are hypothetical, but they anticipate seating for 16, a top speed of 162 mph, and a range of 460 miles.

4. AugustaWestland AW139

AugustaWestland AW139 helicopter exterior
AugustaWestland AW139 helicopter interior
You wouldn’t think so by looking at the size of the leather seats pictured here, but when configured in a VIP arrangement, this chopper can still seat 8 passengers. Of course, with that capacity and with such luxurious materials (is that mahogany?), it will cost you a cool $14.5 million. So you’re going to need to win a pretty big lotto jackpot to arrord this one. As for performance, in this beauty you can cruise along at 193 mph for at least 573 miles.

5. Sikorsky S-76C

You already know Sikorsky’s most famous chopper. That would be the Black Hawk…as in “Black Hawk down.” However, they also make a couple of primo VIP helicopters for civilian use, and the S-76C, which runs a modest $12.95 million, is one of them. This baby can seat up to 12 passengers, but you can’t treat VIPs like cattle. So, as you can see, the configuration pictured here seats just 4…in complete luxury. It’s a shame the range is only 473 miles (with a top speed of 178 mph), because I could sit in this thing all day.

6. Eurocopter EC 155

The EC 155 helicopter exterior

Now this is a luxurious chopper. Or it can be, anyway, when not being used for lamed stuff like medevacs. It’s top speed in an impressive 200 mph with a range of 533 miles. Also, it can seat as many as 13 passengers, but the VIP configuration (pictured here) seats 6 to 8. However, with a price tag of $10 million.
